Welcome to the formal opening of new exhibitions Thursday 5 September at 6 pm.

Selection of Print Works from Poland

The museum opens an exhibition of over 50 print works in hall Listasalur in Duus Museum. The exhibition is a collaboration of the museum and Jan Fejkiel of the established Fejkiel Gallery in Krakow in Poland which is acknowledged for its elaborate exhibitions and publication of Polish print works. Fejkiel will be present at the opening and gives a talk on the exhibition Sunday 8 September at 2 pm. Representatives from the Polish embassy in Iceland will open the exhibiton formally on 5 September at 6 pm.

On the same occasion the museum opens the exhibition Unexpected Date in hall Bíósalur. There 6 local female artists are led together in an unexpected date. They are Gunnhildur Þórðardóttir, Inga Þórey Jóhannsdóttir, Kristín Rúnarsdóttir, Margrét Jónsdóttir, Sossa and Valgerður Guðlaugsdóttir.

The third exhibition opening at the same time is the exhibition of the works of Reynir Katrínar, sorcerer and creative artist in hall Stofan. Reynir gives a talk on Sunday 8 September at 3 pm.
