Interloper: Artist and Curator Talk. XXXreyri: Screening and Q&A.

Sunday, September 3 at 1pm. Artist Snorri Ásmundsson and Helga Þórsdóttir, the museum director, will welcome guests to the Artist and Curator talk for the exhibition Boðflenna at Reykjanes Art Museum.
 
Then, at 2pm, in Duus Museum's Bíósalur, there will be a screening of the world famous documentary film XXXreyri.
 
The artist Snorri Ásmundsson and the filmmaker Kári G. Schram, made the documentary XXXreyri together in 1999. The film is about the sexual revolution that took place in Iceland at the beginning of the 21st century. Strip clubs were a new phenomenon in Iceland, the documentary explores this new favorite past time of Icelandic society and sets the stage in the town of Akureyri. After all, the people of Akureyri are know for being second to none. Snorri and Kári interviewed numerous people in making of the film.
 
XXXreyri is a star-studded gem that no one should miss. However, the film is not for those under sixteen.
 
After the screening of XXXreyri, there will be a Q&A with Snorri and Kári, chaired by Helga Þórsdóttir, director of Reykjanes Art Museum.
